Education in the sense of “lifelong learning” has long been an important topic in district work Mittelfeld.
In order to bundle the many existing projects and considerations, in September 2006 the Gemeinwesenarbeit, the district management, the Beuthener Straße primary school, the Gnadenkirche family center and the coordinator for district cultural work, the educational network Mittelfeld been initiated.
After a mission statement and common goals for action had been developed and recorded in a cooperation agreement, the educational network launched on January 10, 2008 Mittelfeld.

These institutions are currently working together in the educational network:

From 2012 to 2016 there was a joint "education festival" for everyone every two years Mittelfeldorganized.

In 2017, the educational network dealt intensively with the topic of networking and cooperation.

In 2018, various offers on the subject of "Mittelfeld makes circus ”. This included the revitalization of public spaces and a circus project at the Beuthener Straße elementary school.

The participants in the educational network work together again and again in different constellations on individual topics. From 2019 until the lockdown in connection with the Covid 19 pandemic, we worked on the topic of "building bridges". However, the closing party on May 29, 2020 could not take place due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

As a rule, the participants in the training network meet every two months. The first face-to-face meeting in 2022 took place on September 21st. Efforts are being made to work in working groups again.
