Known as the Social Association Reichsbund, today's Social Association Germany has also been in our district since 1949. Many older citizens are familiar with this oldest socio-political organization and know how powerful this lobby group is.
From the beginning, the Social Association Germany set itself the goal of achieving the highest level of social justice in the interests of the socially weak and disadvantaged through socio-political influence on legislation and administration as well as through participation in social justice. The SoVD pursues exclusively charitable and benevolent purposes and is independent, politically and religiously neutral.
There has been no shortage of socio-political debates in the history of the Social Association Germany. They became stations of probation and confirmation that the Social Association Germany has become an indispensable progressive force in social policy in more than 100 years of its activity.

The chairman of the social association in the district of Döhren-Wülfel, Dirk Battke, has been honored by the Hanover region for his many years of voluntary work. The board of the SoVD Hannover-Süd is pleased about the appreciation by the Hannover region. Through his five-year management, the local social association has grown to a considerable size. The success of the SoVD Hannover-Süd is significantly linked to the name Dirk Battke. So Sabine Tidow, the deputy chairwoman. The wide range of offers, activities and events of the social association has contributed to the fact that the association is visible to all citizens in the district. In particular, the Friday meeting at Fiedelerplatz, which was launched during the Corona period, is enjoying increasing popularity and is now an important meeting place for the local community.
