Representatives from facilities for children and young people in the district, the municipal senior citizens' service of the state capital Hanover, the police and politics as well as residents work in the KPR.

The KPR has already set up numerous projects such as "experience without drugs", the painting of Telekom multifunctional boxes by pupils from primary schools in the district, the exhibition "Violence in Couple Relationships" in the house of Diakovere, which was well attended by groups of pupils and the "Senior Citizens' Day" in the Döhren leisure center. The KPR has had very good experiences with the initiation of Internet ABC in a primary school in the district.

The aim of the KPR is to work preventively against violence, eg against drug abuse, against vandalism and against violence in the family. "The brown trap - a right-wing extremist 'career'" was the name of the exhibition by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution on the subject of right-wing extremism, which was held in September 2014 in the Döhren leisure center in Hanover in cooperation with the Döhren-Wülfel municipal prevention council, the Döhren leisure center and the youth protection/street social work of the LHH was shown.

The KPR is through membership in Municipal prevention council of the state city of Hanover and in the State Prevention Council Lower Saxony (LPR) networked with other prevention councils.

From 2014 to 2016, the KPR supported the Döhren-Wülfel-Mittelfeld organized for refugees. The group of supporters has been coordinated by volunteers since October 2016.

In 2022, the Violence Prevention working group was formed:
Based on the "Stronger than violence" initiative of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the Municipal Prevention Council of the state capital Hanover has with the campaign "Hanover is stronger than violence - for safe families in our city" set a sign.
The KPR Döhren-WülfelMittelfeld took the campaign of the KPR of the LHH as an opportunity to set up a violence prevention working group and initially held talks on the subject of "domestic violence" with individuals and institutions from the district.

Together with other actors from the district, the working group carried out an action on the “International Day against Violence against Women” on November 25, 2022 throughout the district. Floor buttons with corresponding slogans were placed in front of facilities, on squares and on sidewalks. Next to it, balloons were placed as eye-catchers and “advice and help guides” were handed out to those who were interested. 2022-11-25 Handout help for women in need A5

On the one hand, the campaign served to draw attention to the topic of domestic violence and, on the other hand, to signal to those affected: We are there for you and will support you if you want it.

In 2023, the AG again carried out actions in the city district.
