However, for possible later court proceedings, it is very important to professionally document and secure findings and traces promptly after the experience of violence.
In Lower Saxony you have the following options:

Please contact a police station in your area directly. They will initiate all the necessary steps and, if necessary, accompany you to a clinic.
- Confidential securing of findings and evidence _ detached from a report

What else is important?
– Contact an investigation center as soon as possible after the crime. Some injuries heal very quickly.
– If possible, do not cleanse your body (washing, showering, etc.) after the crime, as this will cause traces to be lost.
– Keep any traces of evidence (clothing, bed linen, etc.) dry in a paper bag.
