Insektenbündnis Hannover: The "Hanover Mixture"
The Hannover Insect Alliance is committed to protecting insects.
Eight different seed mixtures were developed as part of the Hanover Insect Alliance. With these mixtures, permanent flowering areas are to be developed at various locations.
The species composition of the seed mixtures has been selected so that they are suitable for insects in their different stages. Care was also taken to ensure that the flowering period for the seed types was from spring to early autumn. All seed species occur in Hanover as native species.
The following mixtures have been selected for the different locations and requirements: gardens, fallow land, tree pits, flower herb lawns and flower meadows.
In addition to a list of the selected seeds, there are tips on sowing the seeds and caring for the flowering areas.
