Invitation to the Rübezahl Festival
"We in Mittelfeld – 70 years of Rübezahl fountain”
We hereby cordially invite you to the Rübezahl Festival on Saturday, 17 August 2024, 14-19 p.m. at Rübezahlplatz 9 in Hanover-Mittelfeld Last year our club SchMitt e.V. - Schönes Mittelfeld rented the room at Rübezahlplatz 9. In June 2023, we celebrated the inauguration of the “Small Festival at Rübezahl” in perfect weather.
This year the “Festival at Rübezahl” has the following motto:
We in Mittelfeld – 70 years of Rübezahl fountain
The listed Rübezahl fountain, built in 1954, turns 70 this year. The sculpture was created by the sculptor Kurt Lehmann and commemorates the immigration of refugees from Silesia to Hanover-Mittelfeld after the Second World War. The “Rübezahl” is the name of a mountain spirit from Silesian fairy tales and stories. Then as now, immigration in Hanover-Mittelfeld and more than 75 different nations live together in the district. The Rübezahl fountain as a symbol of immigration and shared coexistence is therefore more than topical.
The festival will not only look back into the past with a small exhibition, but also present the coexistence of the diverse Mittelfeld are in focus: Under the motto “We in Mittelfeld“We want to get all residents out of Mittelfeld We cordially invite you to come together on this day for food, drinks, artistic performances and good conversation!

- Mittelfelds mobile information kiosk “Gut zu wissen Kiste"
- A small stage with dance & music
We hope that the event will contribute to revitalizing Rübezahlplatz and lead to many stimulating discussions in the district.
Please note that the entire parking lot at Rübezahlplatz will be closed all day on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
