Bookcase Mittelfeld
In December 2020, in Mittelfeld a new Bookcase on Lehrter Platz set up. The bookcase makes a wonderful addition to the trust library in the Nachbarschaftstreff. All residents of the district are cordially invited to put books they no longer need in the cupboard and in return take out reading material for themselves.
One of the shelves in the bookcase is especially for children's books. Due to its high popularity, especially children's book donations are very welcome!
It is the 44th bookcase in the city of Hanover. The district council of Döhren-Wülfel finances the bookcase, which is looked after by bookcase sponsors and the district culture department of the state capital Hanover. The first bookcase was installed in Stöcken in 2005. All cabinets are made by Werkstatt-Treff Mecklenheide e. V., a project for the long-term unemployed. For more information on bookcases, see here.
