In the center for outpatient participation and self-determination, we look after and care for people with development needs in the area of learning (so-called mental disabilities) or with a physical disability in small teams in their own apartments and shared flats. Different concepts ensure that the various support services are tailored to individual needs.

Nursing assistants as assistants (m/f/d)
for people with support needs in the field of mental development or physical disabilities
The positions are part-time permanent positions. The weekly working hours can be freely chosen in consultation.
Your tasks:
- Depending on the team, you will mainly provide nursing assistance for people with physical disabilities or provide instruction and support for people with intellectual development needs.
- You independently carry out assistance activities such as shopping, visits to the doctor or make leisure activities such as going to the cinema or swimming pool.
- You will document the activities you have performed to ensure the exchange of information.
- If necessary, you will substitute in other teams.
Requirements:
- You enjoy working with people with disabilities and are willing to engage with their individual characteristics. You bring social skills, openness and empathy with you.
- Experience in caring for people with a need for support is desirable, but you can also dare to change careers.
- Willingness to work in shifts is required. The working hours are mostly in the afternoon.
- They are interested in working closely with other professional groups and in the exchange between parents and social workers.
- We expect a full vaccination against Corona.
Compensation:
The remuneration is based on the collective agreement Diakonie Niedersachsen (TV DN) including the usual social benefits.
